There is a prolonged, stylised and darkly lit fight sequence in which a character slashes and stabs thugs using multiple bladed weapons, with accompanying large blood spurts. In one scene, a man uses a spear to skewer a group of advancing thugs. Police officers beat an inmate during an interrogation using batons, landing heavy blows.

An angry mob wielding flaming torches threaten to set a man's cabin alight. There are also occasional scenes of knife threat throughout.

Mild bad language ('bugger', 'bloody') occurs, as well as very mild bad language ('God').

Characters face caste-based discrimination from feudal landlords. However, discrimination is not condoned by the film as a whole.

A villainous character orders a woman to breastfeed her infant in front of him and his friends in a prolonged scene of sexual threat, with focus on the victim's distress. However, this behaviour is ultimately met with negative consequences.

People attempt to take their own lives, however, they are quickly prevented from doing so.

There is close-up emphasis on a severed eyeball, as well as undetailed sight of blood-stained and headless corpses in the aftermath of violence. There is sight of dead blood-stained animals, however, these are clearly computer-generated and not evidence of real animal cruelty. Milder moments include grisly sight of human skeletal remains within the context of a forensic investigation.

Characters are shown grieving the deaths of loved ones in the aftermath of murder.
