violence
The film concerns a curse which was unleashed by the brutal murder of a pregnant woman by her husband. In one scene a woman and a teenage boy witness a disturbing vision, depicted in black-and-white, of the man hunched over the corpse of his wife; both figures are covered in blood, and though the action is concealed by the position of their bodies it is implied that he is removing the foetus. Another scene shows the same man soaked in blood and carrying an indistinct bloody object which he refers to as the 'child'.
threat and horror
There are scenes of strong horror, including ‘jump scare’ moments, in which people are attacked by ghosts who move in an unnatural fashion and make disturbing inhuman noises. A prolonged sequence shows a heavily bloodied reanimated corpse dragging herself towards a terrified man.
additional issues
There is infrequent use of strong language (‘f**k’), in addition to milder terms (e.g. ‘bitch’). There are also infrequent non-graphic references to suicide.
