It Came From Outer Space

Police officers shoot at an advancing car driven by an alien, causing it to veer off the road and explode into a ball of flames. An alien falls through a crevasse into a pool following an implied shooting. Aliens steadily approach human characters, causing them to scream as they become engulfed in smoke. The aliens subsequently hold humans hostage and adopt their guises in order to blend into society. However, scenes of threat ultimately result in reassuring outcomes.

An adult character smokes a tobacco pipe, however, this is indicative of the historical period in which this film was made.

There is brief sight of a dead coyote lying on the side of a road.

Occasional scenes of mild threat include alien creatures looming over humans, who are then surrounded by smoke. In one scene an alien posing as a human woman fires a laser at a man but does not hit him.
