There are scenes of domestic abuse in which men are physically abuse and exert coercive control upon their spouses. A man grabs his wife by the hair, slaps her and calls her a 'bitch' in front of their children and police officers who do little to intervene. A mentally unwell man hacks through a door and threatens his wife with a machete until he is subdued by police. A pregnant woman has water thrown in her face and appears scared in her husband's presence, and a man grabs his partner's arm and invades her personal space when she refuses his advances.

Character's rush into a room when gunshots are heard from inside a room. A policeman subdues a mentally unwell man wielding a machete during a domestic dispute. There are 'jump scares' when the ghost of a man appears in a character's home.

There is infrequent use of strong language ('f**k') and milder terms ('bitch', 'screw', 'Jesus').

There are mild references to sexual activity between two colleagues, and references to a woman being 'knocked up'.

There are implied scenes of child sexual abuse, including a sequence in which it's suggested a teenager is raped, and another in which it's implied a father is molesting his daughter. Another scene shows a pedophile grooming a child by offering them a lift home from school.

A man shoots himself in the chest. There are statistical references to similar suicides.

A man bleeds out in front of his son after his throat is slashed, and there are repeated crime scene images of a dead body laying in a pool of blood.
