Heart of the Beast

A man and dog are attacked by wolves who bite and tear at them; animals are stabbed with a knife and spear, but visual detail of this is limited. There is sight of wolves hunting and killing an animal. Brief, stylised flashbacks depict explosions and gunfire, as well as a person on fire.

Characters are stalked by wolves and find themselves at risk of a bear attack. They also face threats such as falling from heights and drowning as they navigate dangerous terrain. There is an intense sequence in which a plane crashes, and a man occasionally suffers medical episodes from a heart condition.

There is moderate bad language ('son of a bitch') as well as milder terms such as 'asshole', 'shit', 'goddamn' and 'hell'.

A man is repeatedly seen taking pills for his heart condition.

A character sustains bloody injuries which sometimes require improvised treatments. While there is some visual detail around these, such as sight of a compound fracture and a bite wound, the strongest images are briefly and infrequently on screen; they are often darkly lit and come with a medicalised context.

Occasional scenes feature upsetting moments as characters deal with physical and emotional struggles, as well as post-traumatic stress disorder from their experiences in war zones.

Adults drink alcohol and discuss their beer preferences.
