Scenes of strong violence include shootings and knife slashings. There are also crunchy fights, repeated blows using sticks, and prolonged beatings. A character is deliberately pushed into a busy road, where he is hit by a car. A man raises his hand to hit his ex-wife but is stopped before any violence occurs; there are also references to him harassing her.

There are sequences of prolonged and menacing threat from a villainous character, often directed at a visually impaired man and a child. A man is tied up and held captive by police officers.

Mild bad language includes uses of 'bastard', 'bloody' and 'ass', as well as very mild terms such as 'damn', 'hell' and 'God'.

References are made to adultery and to people 'sleeping together'.

Verbal references are made to the conviction of a man for the rape and murder of a woman.

There are brief verbal references to suicide.

Sight of blood and bloody wounds feature during scenes of violence, and dead bodies are discovered in pools of blood.

Upsetting scenes include those involving bereavement, a funeral sequence and people grieving. References are made to mental health difficulties.
