Gone With The Wind

Scenes depicting the aftermath of battle feature sight of dead or dying soldiers on the ground; injured soldiers are seen recuperating in a field hospital, and one man's leg is amputated as sounds of men screaming in pain can be heard off-screen. A woman shoots a man.

A town is set alight and people are seen fleeing in panic. A woman is threatened by a group of men while walking alone.

African American characters who are slaves are racially stereotyped. The film also treats the issue of slavery in a romanticised fashion. The term 'darkie' is used to refer to African American slaves.

There are a scenes showing the aftermath of battle, including sight of dead or dying soldiers and injured men in makeshift hospitals. In a post-war scene a northern soldier is shot dead after entering a southern house.
