Moments of violence include a grizzly bear fighting off a pair of wolves to defend himself and a friend: he paws at them, knocks them into a cave wall and into each other, as well as swinging one around by their tail. These moments are brief and are depicted without injury detail.

Scenes of threat include characters in dangerous situations, such as snow storms, avalanches, falling from heights, caught dangling from ledges, and cornered by wolves baring sharp teeth. In all these instances, however, threat is alleviated quickly, with characters working together and being resourceful in order to escape danger. A grizzly bear character occasionally loses his temper, but is quick to apologise. Despite some scary scenes, there is a lighthearted, comic tone throughout.
