Sustained scenes of threat include people being followed, a kidnapped person being threatened while tied to a metal pole and a woman being forced to take a lethal dose of prescription pills. There is a written threat of child murder. A woman has a vision in which the back of her child's head turns into a demonic face. The main character's brain injury often makes her unaware of her surroundings, creating an unsettling tone in some scenes.
