There is domestic abuse when the protagonist hits his wife, pokes her head and blows cigarette smoke in her face. In another scene another male character slaps his wife. There are also verbal references to domestic abuse when a man says that the benefits to having a wife with long hair is that he can more easily beat her. A man hits his daughter when she begs him not to marry her off. The male protagonist also exhibits controlling behaviour towards his wife. References to men and women hitting each other in marriage are normalised. There is moderate violence when a wrestler beats some young men and grabs one of them by the throat. There are also scenes of wrestling violence when a woman competes at tournaments. A man briefly coughs up blood following a wrestling match.
