Scenes of violence include a man being pulled through a window and audio is heard of him having his skull crushed by an evil animatronic puppet. There are also implied dismemberments and a woman shoots her abusive father. A child is stabbed off-screen and there is sight of blood on her clothing in the aftermath. References are made to the murder of children throughout.

There are sequences of sustained threat and horror, some of which include supernatural elements and the theme of child abduction. Characters, including children, are menaced by malevolent, possessed animatronic puppets who wield large knives and hold people captive. A woman is transported back to her childhood home, where she relives the horror of her abusive murderous father terrorising and threatening her.

Moderate bad language ('dick') is accompanied by milder terms such as 'shit', 'ass' and 'hell'.

Occasional bloody detail is visible in the aftermath of violence and there is brief impressionistic sight of severed body parts falling to the ground after a man is murdered.
