Firebrand

Sequences include menacing and pervasive domestic abuse displayed by a husband towards his wife. In one scene, he stuffs his fingers into her mouth after forcing her to recite Latin and he is violent towards her whilst she is pregnant. There is also a prolonged scene of strong violence in which someone is choked and references are made to people being tortured, beheaded and burnt alive.

Moments of moderate threat occur in which a King and his advisors becomes increasingly tyrannical. His subjects are menacingly interrogated about his wife's behaviour. A woman is arrested and imprisoned with the threat of death hanging over her.

Infrequent use of strong language ('f**k') is accompanied by moderate ('snatch', 'whore') and milder terms such as 'piss' and 'God'.

There are brief scenes of strong sex, one of which features buttock nudity. References are made to adultery.

A sustained scene of sexual threat occurs in which a man pushes his pregnant wife to the floor, holds her down with his foot, rips her clothing and attempts to rape her. However, she fights him off before the attack progresses.

There is an upsetting scene in which a woman suffers a miscarriage accompanied by sight of blood and clots. A man's bloody and gory infected leg is seen as it is tended to by medics. There is sight of a man's organs being removed post mortem.
