violence
People are stabbed or slashed with bladed weapons, causing large spurts of blood. Other scenes feature bloody shootings. A short flashback shows a villain trapping dozens of frightened people in a well, dousing them with petrol and setting them alight, creating an undetailed fireball. There are moderate crunchy fist fights and beatings. A comically irascible man is repeatedly shown striking his son, both as a child and as an adult; these scenes are played for laughs, however, and the son is not obviously injured or distressed.
threat and horror
There is moderate gun and knife threat, as well as shootouts and car chases.
language
There is infrequent use of the ‘middle finger’ gesture. Mild and very mild bad language includes ‘shit’, ‘bloody’, ‘ass’, ‘pissed’, ‘God’ and ‘hell’.
sex
There are occasional mild sex references, in addition to a moderate crude gesture indicating masturbation.
drugs
A man snorts drugs off his hand. There are also occasional visual and verbal references to the manufacture and distribution of crystal meth. Drug misuse is clearly criticised.
sexual violence and sexual threat
A man invades a woman’s personal space and makes sexually suggestive comments. He and others are later arrested and beaten for such behaviour.
injury detail
There are strong images of blood spurts and bloody wounds.
rude humour
A man stands on a roof and urinates on his enemies below.
alcohol and smoking
Adults drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes.
flashing/flickering lights
This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
