Escape from the Outland

Multiple people, including children, are struck by bullets during terrorist attacks and shootouts, creating spurts of blood. Terrorists hack off hostages’ feet, resulting in gory aftermath images of the severed appendages. A child is forced to participate in the cutting of another hostage’s throat. A group of people are deliberately struck by a vehicle, others are brutally beaten, and another is set on fire.

There are prolonged and intense scenes of threat, including terrorist attacks, kidnappings, executions, and violent rioting. A frightened pregnant woman is doused with fuel in preparation for execution by immolation. Footage of what appears to be real conflict and civil unrest shows gunmen pointing weapons at kneeling men, implying off-screen executions.

Bad language includes ‘shit’, ‘ass’ and ‘piss’.

During a montage depicting the indoctrination of child soldiers, children are coerced into consuming a substance implied to be an addictive drug. The same drug is forced into the mouth of an injured prisoner to sedate him, over the objections of a doctor.

Strong injury detail, such as corpses, bloody wounds and severed limbs, features in the aftermath of violence. A sequence of what appears to be real war footage contains sight of the bloodied dead bodies of adults and children.

Distressing scenes show people grieving over the bodies of dead loved ones, including children.
