DR STRANGELOVE OR: HOW I LEARNED TO STOP WORRYING AND LOVE THE BOMB is a 1964 US black-and-white black comedy in which an insane United States Air Force general orders a nuclear attack on the Soviet Union.

Violence
Scenes of a raid on a military base feature heavy gunfire. Bodies are briefly seen on the ground but there is no blood or injury detail.
Threat and horror
There are non-graphic comic references to the threat of global nuclear annihilation. Further mild threat occurs in a scene in which a military plane nearly crashes.
Language
There is occasional use of the term 'bloody'. Very mild terms include 'damn' and 'hell'.
Sex
Mild verbal sex references include ones to a proposed human breeding programme wherein each man would be assigned ten women selected for their "stimulating sexual characteristics". There are also references to a man's "essence" and to the "physical act of love", as well as brief sight of glamour shots of female models, without visible nudity.
Suicide
An off-screen suicide is indicated by the sound of a gunshot.
There is a brief reference to Air Force pilots being issued with drugs including morphine and pep pills.
