A gang threaten a man and his girlfriend; when the couple attempt to flee, they grab the woman and in what could be sexual threat, demand that she stays with them. Other moments of moderate threat include a man being abducted, handcuffed and taken to a secret location with a bag over his head.

Use of strong language ('motherf**ker', 'f**k') is accompanied by milder terms such as 'bitch', 'crap', 'shit', 'bastard', 'God' and 'damn'.

There are occasional scenes of strong, thrusting sex with breast and buttock nudity. A man watches a woman shower and when she realises, she lets him continue and appears to enjoy his gaze. Undetailed references are made to soldiers having sex with women during warfare.

A man is called a 'faggot' by a gang of thugs and a man refers to French people as 'frog-eaters'.

A brief verbal reference is made to a woman using a razor blade on her wrist and a man is called 'suicidal'.

After a woman is deliberately hit by a car off screen, she is seen heavily bruised in a hospital bed. She is subsequently seen in a wheelchair, unable to feed herself. There is brief sight of scars on a man's dead body.

In keeping with the time period, adult characters frequently smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol.
