A no-rules bare-knuckle fight between two men includes heavy repeated blows, a knife slash to the arm which draws blood and a bottle smash to the head. A woman is repeatedly stabbed, with blood in the aftermath. People are shot in a scene which includes bloody mpact wounds.

There is a prolonged scene in which a group of men try to hang another man. A noose is placed around the man's neck, and the horse he is sitting on is released. However, a woman shoots the rope suspending the man and he is not hanged. A man drags a woman from a house and throws her to the ground. In another scene, a scared child observes an offscreen massacre; however, there is no violent detail.

Occasional shoot-outs occur with accompanying bloody detail in the aftermath. There are infrequent verbal references to domestic abuse and alcoholism during a scene in which a character reveals his father physically abused him as a child.

A man is shown hanging from a tree with a noose around his neck in the aftermath of violence. Blood is shown on clothing and on bodies in the aftermath of gun violence.

Battle flashbacks show soldiers being shot, stabbed or slashed with blades, resulting in blood spurts and brief aftermath sight of a gory wound on a man’s abdomen. In another scene, a woman has her vulnerable adult son restrained and dragged away while ordering other men to destroy his piano, causing him significant distress; it is implied that the incident is part of a pattern of abusive behaviour.

A flashback to an American Civil War battle contains strong bloody images of wounded soldiers and brief sight of corpses and severed body parts strewn on the battlefield. Another flashback features fleeting images of a pile of dead bodies, including children, in the aftermath of an off-screen massacre.

Villainous armed bandits use knives to remove the scalps of their foes; however, this scene is brief and lacks focus on detail. Other moments include stabbings, throat slashings and impactful blows which result in blood spurts and bloody aftermath detail.

A racist, villainous character refers to killing Native Americans for fun and profit. Infrequent racial language occurs (‘negro’).

Characters occasionally hold up bloodied scalps in the aftermath of violence. A headless turkey is shown following an off-screen hunt.

Strong bloody violence occurs. There are shootouts with blood spurts during a battle between two settlements, scenes where a machine gun is fired at a group of people, and a family are massacred by gunmen. There is sight of dead bodies lying in pools of blood, a woman with a gunshot wound to the ear and a number of dead men hanging over a row of coffins. There are undetailed references to a woman being abused by her husband.
