Characters are drowned, strangled and feasted on by a woman possessed by a vengeful spirit. In one scene, a person's arm is snapped in half, a bone is removed and is used to stab the person in the head. In another sequence, a man's head is crushed; however, much of the detail is concealed.

There are frequent sequences of strong horror, including jump scares, in which characters are menaced by a demonic presence. People vomit blood, self-harm and commit violence whilst possessed.

Strong language ('f**k') is accompanied by milder terms such as 'prick', 'dick', 'shit', 'asshole' and 'Jesus'.

There is a brief sequence of strong sex. Verbal references are made to adultery and a woman's lack of sex drive.

References are made to a religious cult's homophobia and non acceptance of those outside their religion.

Characters take a hallucinogenic drug as part of a ritual to rid themselves of evil spirits.

A person attempts to take their life off-screen. A woman self-harms whilst possessed.

There is strong bloody injury detail, blood spurts and gore in the aftermath of violence and during scenes of horror. There is sight of bloody dead animals, some of which have been decapitated or ripped apart.

References are made to underage marriage, polygamy and religious cults. A distressed teenage girl is dragged off to an orphanage because of her sexuality.
