Dhruva Natchathiram: Chapter One – Yuddha Kaandam

There are frequent bloody shootings and stabbings, including sight of a man's throat being slashed before he is stabbed in the side of the head. Scenes of stylised hand to hand fighting include punches, elbows, kicks, throws, strangling, shoves and neck breaks, as well as heads being slammed against surfaces. There is brief real footage of news reports from the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks.

A man is tortured by being waterboarded in an interrogation scene and characters have bags put over their heads, threatening them with suffocation. A captured man is presented with his crying, distressed young son in a bid to get him to give up information. There are scenes of gun and knife threat, as well as chases on foot and in cars.

There is strong language ('motherf**ker', 'f**k') along with milder terms such as 'prick', 'dickhead', 'shit', 'bastard', 'God' and 'hell'.

Characters kiss and caress on a bed, but there is no nudity. A woman implies she is going to perform oral sex on a man to distract other; both characters remain clothed throughout.

A black man briefly refers to widespread discriminatory attitudes which assume him to be a criminal.

There is a brief, undetailed verbal reference to images of child sexual abuse being found on a person's computer.

Blood seeps from a man's slashed throat and we see blood spurts, puffs and bloody clothing when characters are shot or stabbed. Smears of blood are visible on floors and surfaces in the aftermath of violence.

Characters occasionally smoke cigarettes.
