Moderate war violence includes gunfire and explosions. Several soldiers’ throats are cut and another soldier is stabbed, resulting in brief, dimly-lit sight of blood. In another scene an army instructor describes how to slit a person’s throat.
There are occasional undetailed images of dead bodies on battlefields, and scenes of emotional distress in which soldiers mourn their fallen comrades. A soldier is devastated after realising that the enemy he’s just killed was a teenager. Bad language includes ‘pecker’, ‘pissed’, ‘asshole’, ‘hell’ and ‘mon dieu’, in addition to infrequent use of the term ‘kraut’. A woman complains about drunk men at a bar thinking they can ‘have their way with the girls’. There are also brief comic references to ‘making love’.
