Scenes include shootings, beatings, stranglings and stabbings which result in bloody detail. Jewish prisoners are beaten, made to walk long distances in freezing conditions and are gunned down and mauled by dogs when trying to flee; in one scene, a child prisoner is executed at gunpoint. A man is captured and repeatedly struck across the face while being interrogated.

A Jewish man lives in fear of his identity being revealed to Nazi officers in suspenseful and intense scenes of threat. Jewish people are depicted hiding and fleeing from Nazi officers.
