DEATH COUNT is a US horror thriller in which a group of kidnapped strangers are forced to compete for online ‘likes’ in a series of grisly challenges.

violence
Prisoners are forced to inflict gruesome injuries on themselves, including removing fingernails or teeth or stabbing and slashing themselves with blades, for the entertainment of an online audience. A device rips off a person’s arm, resulting in prolonged close-up images of tearing flesh. A man's head explodes, and a woman is killed by mustard gas, causing gory blisters and copious vomiting. In an appeal for votes, a frightened female prisoner briefly exposes her bare breasts while flogging herself bloody.
flashing/flickering lights
This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
There are scenes of strong threat and horror throughout, as a group of people wake up in prison cells with explosive implants embedded in the backs of their necks and are forced to repeatedly injure themselves for a live online audience. There is infrequent use of very strong language (‘c**t’), as well as more frequent use of strong language (‘f**k’, ‘motherf**ker’, ‘c**ksucker’). There is also occasional use of the outdated term ‘Indian’ in reference to Native American people. Other issues include infrequent moderate sex references, and non-graphic verbal references to suicide.
