Dear Edward

We briefly see a boy's bloodied leg as he is carried away from the site of a plane crash; there are scenes of mild threat before the crash when the aircraft hits turbulence. A conspiracy theorist aggressively addresses the sole survivor of a plane crash. A distressed, pregnant young woman is rushed to hospital by ambulance and there are verbal references to miscarriage. A boy says he has contemplated suicide. A woman confronts her husband about her suspicions that he has been unfaithful to her, with discussion of his sexuality. Scenes of emotional upset include characters arguing, struggling with grief and with difficulties in parenting. There are brief, undetailed references to mental health concerns.

A sustained and intense plane crash sequence shows passengers in a state of fear and distress as the plane drops towards the ground, though the actual impact occurs off screen. Subsequent scenes feature brief moderate images of dead bodies with dark burn wounds, partially obscured by the wreckage. There are upsetting scenes, including ones involving undetailed references to mental illness, suicide and miscarriage. Other issues include a very brief moderate sex scene, without visible nudity.
