A woman’s throat is slashed during a sustained brawl sequence. Men restrain a distressed woman and pour acid over her arm, resulting in sight of burn scars in subsequent scenes.. People are punched, kicked, or struck with objects such as bats or bottles during fight scenes, occasionally resulting in moderate bloody detail. A man physically wrestles his ex-girlfriend to the ground in an attempt to steal her necklace, but other people come to her defence.

Flashback scenes depict an implied sexual assault of a child at a boarding school while other students helplessly watch. There is focus on the victim's distress, however, the scenes are devoid of any sexual detail. This is accompanied by an undetailed verbal reference to sexual violence.

References are made to a character taking their own life after experiencing depression and bereavement.
