violence
A man is partially hanged and then dropped from a height, resulting in a spurt of blood as he hits the ground. There are bloody shootings and stabbings, in addition to moderate stylised fight sequences featuring crunchy blows. A man and a dog both collide with an electric fence during a race and are fatally electrocuted, without visible injury detail; however, there is no evidence of real animal cruelty.
threat and horror
There are scenes of moderate threat and suspense, such as a race sequence in which competitors are chased, attacked and in some cases killed by aggressive dogs, and another scene wherein a group of unarmed people are ambushed and killed by gunmen.
language
There is implied use of strong language (‘what the f–?’). Milder terms include ‘shit’, ‘bullshit’, ‘pissed off’, ‘bugger’, ‘freaking’, ‘damn’, ‘hell’ and ‘God’, in addition to use of the 'middle finger' gesture.
sex
There are infrequent moderate sex references.
discrimination
A woman makes fun of her competition rivals by mocking their various countries of origin, including speaking nonsense in a ‘Chinese’ accent. One man refers to another as a ‘freaking sissy’. Friends exchange amused looks when they hear a man referring to another man as ‘hot’.
drugs
A man takes an unidentified pill and offers one to the hero, who declines. Another person is briefly seen smoking what appears to be a marijuana joint. There are also infrequent verbal references to drug misuse, which is not condoned by the film.
injury detail
There are occasional bloody images in the context of violence. During a dangerous road race, a man is accidentally pulled under the wheels of a vehicle, creating a spurt of blood.
dangerous behaviour
There are scenes of risky behaviour, including a prolonged sequence in which a parkourist performs dangerous stunts on a moving train such as ‘train surfing’ and swinging from the door to touch passing objects.
alcohol and tobacco
A man chugs a beer in front of a cheering crowd.
flashing/flickering lights
This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
