CHILDREN OF THE CORN is a US horror remake in which a group of children come under the supernatural influence of the cornfields around them and stage a violent and bloody revolt against the adults of their rural town.

violence
Children stab and beat adults and other teenagers with knives, farming tools and bats; most of these blows are hidden from clear sight, as is a moment in which a man's eye is gouged out with a bladed implement. A woman is torn apart by a fantastical monster. A man's neck snaps after being hanged with a noose. There are verbal references to a man beating his children.
threat and horror
Children, under the influence of supernatural forces, threaten and intimidate older people around them with death. Characters are threatened variously with being set on fire, cut into pieces and buried alive. A woman is chained up to be sacrificed to a monstrous creature. There are jump scares and moments of supernatural threat in which a girl has visions of a ghoulish entity. A boy is told to walk a high plank as children chant menacingly beneath him.
injury detail
The dead bodies of two teenage girls are found hanging from a ceiling; one has been stabbed in the side and is covered in blood, with a severed arm and a gash down her leg that reveals sight of bone. The other has an axe embedded in her skull and has blood splashed down her front. We see a teenage boy's face smashed in by a baseball bat, his teeth visible through torn flesh. A man's eyeballs are removed and we see several shots of them being gouged out, before glimpsing the removed eyeballs and his empty eye sockets. A dead animal is hung upside down and its blood collected in a bucket; this is then used as paint and is splashed over the clothing of children. We see dead bodies of various characters, including a number of children who have been accidentally killed with poisonous gas.
additional issues
There is occasional strong language ('f**k') and milder terms which include 'bitch', 'shit', 'ass', 'crap', 'screw', 'frig', 'hell', 'God', 'damn', 'Jesus' and 'Christ'. A 12-year-old girl implies in an undetailed way that she may have been the victim of child sexual abuse. There are undetailed verbal references to marijuana use.
