There are bloody shootings, stabbings and slashings, including a gang repeatedly stabbing and hacking a man with blades. A character repeatedly stabs another in the stomach in a brutal attack, but the blows are hidden from view. There is hand to hand fighting and we see large groups of protesters clash with police in scenes of mild violence. A suspect is slapped to the ground during a police interrogation and there are scenes in which vehicle crash.

There are scenes of gun and knife threat. A blade-wielding gang first stalk and then menace a man in a darkened street, intending to do him harm.

There is infrequent strong language ('f**k') as well as milder terms which include 'ass', 'bugger', 'God', 'damn' and 'hell'.

There are verbal references to a woman hanging herself; we see her dead body being carried by others.

We see close up detail of bloody stab and slash wounds as well as gunshot injuries. There is sight of blood splashed over clothing, walls and floors. In the aftermath of a car crash, there is a close-up shot of a badly injured man but he is in shadows.

A man butchers a pig; we see him slash at its belly but there is no bloody detail.

Characters grieve for lost loved ones and crowds gather at a man's funeral in scenes of emotional upset.
