Captive women are subjected to verbal sexual threats. Photographs which catalogue historical murders feature nudity and suggest a sexualised aspect to the violent deaths.
Strong violence includes heavy beatings, shootings, stabbings and a neck break. Some passages of violence - for example, the drawn out electrocution of a man, the severing of a man's Achilles tendon and a large knife wound being stamped on - have a sadistic edge, with perpetrators relishing their actions. There is extensive bloodshed and gory injury detail in the aftermath of violent events.
There are scenes of sustained threat. Dead bodies are dismembered.
There is infrequent very strong language ('c**t') and more frequent uses of strong language ('f**k'). There are moderate sex references.
