Broken English

There is infrequent very strong language ('c**t') and use of strong language ('f**k'). Milder terms include 'cock', 'dick', 'bitch', 'slut', 'whore', 'bastard', 'bullshit' and 'God'.

Strong verbal sex references occur in the lyrics of a song. Moderately sexualised photographs of a woman are seen; however, there is no visible nudity.

References are made to a woman frequently experiencing misogyny during her life and career, including footage of her being interviewed by a variety of people and being subjected to repeated sexist questioning. Discrimination is clearly condemned.

Frequent drug references feature, including discussion of heroin and cocaine addiction, overdoses and LSD misuse. The negative consequences of addiction are made clear. There is also brief sight of a man smoking cannabis in a historical photograph.

There are verbal references to a person's suicide attempts.

Scenes depict the emotional impact of illness, including references to cancer, and the death of loved ones. A person is seen visibly unwell. References are made to miscarriage.

There are frequent scenes of cigarette smoking. There are references to alcohol addiction.
