Zombies eat people alive and feast on entrails from disembowelled bodies. Bloody viscera stretches from zombies' mouths as they pull their heads upwards. A man is shown with a large chunk of his face missing and blood pooling out of his mouth in the immediate aftermath of a monster attack.
Soldiers defend themselves against zombies and villainous characters using bayonets and machine guns, with accompanying large blood spurts. Characters face danger from a grotesque aquatic creature and advancing hordes of zombies. An unsympathetic male character gropes a woman during a scene of sexual assault. This is accompanied by brief female breast nudity. However, his behaviour is immediately challenged and results in swift negative consequences. In one scene, a soldier lecherously comments on the appearance of two female survivors and propositions them.
