Prolonged scenes of war violence include those in which soldiers are shot, stabbed, beaten and set on fire. In one scene, a man is decapitated. Many of these scenes include blood spurts and aftermath blood. A marine is impaled by a piece of metal during an attack at sea.

There are scenes of gun and knife threat. In a tense scene, soldiers are trapped in a minefield. In another scene, boys try to flee warplanes; however, it is implied they are killed by an explosion. During a sea battle, a ship floods and several crew members are drowned.

Bad language includes 'bugger,' 'bloody,' 'saala,' 'damn,' 'hell,' and 'God.'

Discriminatory references and sexist behaviour is not condoned by the film as a whole.

Close-up views of wounds with blood are shown, with some injuries given emphasis. A person catches fire during combat.

People grieve for the loss of loved ones, and there are also funeral scenes.
