Moderate fantasy violence includes a bloodless impalement of a human by a fantastical villainous character. Characters are shot, struck with fantastical bladed weapons, knocked over by energy blasts, and punched repeatedly. Brief war footage features scared adults and children, as well as implied shootings. Much of the violence contains comic elements and swift reassuring outcomes.

Characters scream in pain as they transform into fantastical creatures. A family are stalked in their house before being captured by armed men. In one scene, a young boy sees his mother die in an explosion. A superhero experiences pain during an energy transfer.

There is infrequent strong language ('f**k'), as well as milder terms (for example, 'bitch', 'shit', 'bullshit', 'dick', 'asshole', 'ass', 'balls', 'crap', 'hell', 'God', 'damn', 'moron').

There is brief verbal innuendo in a scene in which a young man prepares to kiss a young woman.

A receptionist mistakenly assumes a man is a delivery man because he is Hispanic. There is also brief sight of "Gringo Go Home" graffiti. Discrimination is not condoned by the work as a whole.

It is briefly implied that people have taken drugs in a scene in which they briefly ask each other if the after-effects have 'hit' them.

There is a brief blood splash up a window. Injured characters occasionally have bloody and bruised faces.

It is implied that a man is naked after he transforms back into human form; however, there is no nudity detail.

There are scenes of toilet humour which include brief undetailed verbal references to defecation. A man speculates that an alien scarab enters another man's body through his anus; however, this is not the case.

A man suffers a heart attack and dies, and there is a prolonged scene in which his family grieve for him.
