violence
In a jarring moment of violence, one person suddenly strikes another over the head with a chair, resulting in brief bloody detail. A stunt person is accidentally punched in the face and knocked down a steep hill while performing in a fight scene. A man speaks about his fears that his bullying father may have 'hurt' his sister in some way, but there is no further detail.
threat and horror
There are two moderately disturbing and surreal nightmare sequences.
language
There is infrequent use of very strong language (‘c**t’), as well as more frequent use of strong language (‘f**k’). Milder terms include ‘shit’ and ‘asshole’, in addition to the ‘middle finger’ gesture.
sex
There are occasional moderate sex references, such as a use of the term ‘f**k’ in the sexual sense and two scenes in which couples kiss and embrace on the ground, intending to have sex. No sex occurs on screen, however.
drugs
There are brief references to misuse of prescription pills.
suicide and self-harm
A woman strikes an unseen injury on her thigh with her fist. There are also infrequent verbal references to self-harm and eating disorders.
suicide and self-harm
There are references to suicide, including a description of a suicide attempt and a scene in which a woman speaks about her experiences of suicidal ideation. In another scene a woman becomes distressed after her partner in a role-playing exercise tells her to kill herself.
theme
There are scenes involving emotional upset and references to mental illness.
alcohol and smoking
Adults are shown smoking and getting drunk.
