Backrooms

A monstrous creature bites into a person’s neck, creating a gush of blood. Someone stabs a humanoid being through the neck and digs their hands into its belly, scooping out bloodless white pulp. Another being is repeatedly bludgeoned across the head. A human character is choked unconscious.

Characters explore a seemingly infinite series of rooms where they are stalked and attacked by fantastical creatures, resulting in sustained horror and suspense. In another scene, a man kidnaps a woman and ties her to a chair.

There is use of strong language (‘f**k’). Milder terms include ‘shit’ and ‘ass’.

A person makes a joke using the term 'kinky'.

There are brief references to misuse of drugs including marijuana.

Strong injury detail includes pools and streaks of blood on a floor, and brief sight of a severed head. There is also sight of a bloodied dead bird.

There are occasional references to mental health issues, including a dream sequence in which a woman suffering from paranoid delusions prevents her young child from ever venturing outside.
