Scenes of violence against robot characters are potentially disturbing because of the life-like nature of the robots and their life-like reactions. While many have robot bodies, they have human faces. A circus destroys used robots and spare parts for entertainment, including sight of a robot's face being melted and a robot being cut in two. A boy stabs a robot and it reacts realistically.

There are sequences that could be disturbing for younger viewers, including a robot character being forced to perform acts that are dangerous to him and which cause his face to distort. In one threatening sequence, a robot appears in a bedroom at night, holding a knife.

There is some very mild bad language, such as 'damn'.

One robot character works as a male prostitute and is shown about to engage in sexual activity with a human character. The sex is not shown. There are some verbal references to sexual activity as well as sight of the hologram of a stipper.
