Company chose to remove a scene of sexual threat, and to remove elements of strong and bloody violence, in order to obtain a 12A classification. Cuts made in accordance with BBFC Guidelines and policy. An uncut 15 classification was available.
violence
A sustained fight sequence with a focus on bloody detail and the infliction of pain includes the use of an animal bone to stab and slash people. There are also fist-fights, people are knocked unconscious, and a young woman bleeds from a blow to the head. During the same sequence, a man is strangled, people are thrown into walls, and a young woman is dragged along the ground by her hair. On another occasion, a child stabs a man in the leg. A mother is also seen slapping her son, and mild sporting violence in a dojo also occurs between competitive students.
threat and horror
A leader of a criminal gang threatens to cut of a child's finger. There are also scenes in which police rescue a group of children from the back of a truck.
language
Mild bad language ('bullshit', 'shit') is accompanied by milder term 'God'.
sex
Sex work and sex addiction are referenced. References are also made to 'hormonal attractions' and 'crushes'.

A male karate student refuses to fight a female opponent, referring to all women as 'weak' and not worthy. This behaviour is challenged, and sexism is not condoned by the work as a whole. In other scenes, a young woman grapples with the societal pressures to marry and start a family.

A child is recruited by a criminal gang into trafficking marijuana.
sexual violence and sexual threat
A young woman is pinned down by a group men during a scene of sexual threat, before managing to escape. In another scene a young woman is led into a bad neighbourhood by a man who later threatens her.
