100 Nights of Hero

Scenes show women being imprisoned and sentenced to death. Several characters choose to take their own lives rather than allow themselves to be executed, but their deaths are not depicted on-screen.

Bad language includes ‘whore’, ‘harlot’, ‘bastard’ and ‘God’.

Moderate verbal and visual sex references occur occasionally throughout the film. Semi-clothed couples are seen sharing passionate embraces in bed. Another scene contains fleeting images of highly stylised artworks that depict a woman touching a man’s bare bottom and a naked figure sitting astride a phallic-shaped creature.

The film is set in a kingdom governed by patriarchal laws which force women to marry and produce multiple heirs, and forbid them to read and write. Women who fail to comply are sentenced to execution.

A man is seen with blood smeared over his bare chest following a successful stag hunt. In another scene, a series of stained glass windows feature stylised depictions of people with bloody wounds.

There is an undetailed verbal reference to a man having removed a woman’s underwear ‘by force’. Over the course of the film, another man persistently attempts to seduce a woman for a bet, despite knowing that she will be executed if she accepts his advances.
