THE WRETCHED is a horror film in which a teenager suspects an evil witch is taking possession of the local residents.

Threat and horror

There are scenes of supernatural threat in which a witch stalks human prey, including children and babies. A notable scene includes that in which a monster reaches into a baby's cot and takes the child. Disturbing scenes include those in which the skin of humans' possessed by the witch start to decay and sag, and sight of the demonic creature breaking free from its human vessel, leaving a pile of flesh on the ground. A woman's body contorts unnaturally.

Violence

There is a bloody stabbing and a scene of prolonged strangulation. A demonic creature is seen eating the flesh of a dead child and, in another scene, it's implied that a woman possessed by the witch eats her own child.

Suicide

While under demonic possession, a man shoots himself in the head. A body is seen hanging.

There is a scene of moderate sex and undetailed references to prescription drug misuse.
