WELCOME TO NEW YORK is a drama in which a visitor to New York City is arrested after he sexually assaults a hotel employee.

There are a number of scenes of strong sex, including sight of thrusting, spanking and implied oral sex and masturbation; the scenes include breast, buttock and genital nudity, both female and male. There are also strong verbal sex references.

There are two scenes of sexual assault. In the first, a man grabs a woman and pushes her to the floor, attempting to make her perform oral sex on him; there is no nudity on the part of the woman, although the man's buttocks and scrotum are visible. In the second scene, the same man forces himself on another woman, pulling up her jumper and bra to expose her breasts, and pulling down her trousers to expose her buttocks. Both scenes serve an important purpose in the narrative and neither scene suggests that the behaviour shown is acceptable. There are also a number of verbal references to the two assaults.

The film also contains multiple uses of strong language ('f**k' and 'motherf**ker') and further full frontal male nudity as a man is strip searched when he is admitted to prison.

There is a scene involving flash photography that might affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
