THE UNCERTAIN KINGDOM is a collection of short films about various aspects of contemporary life in Britain.

Sex

In a documentary film, women discuss their sexual experiences and fantasies. A woman describes losing her virginity at the age of thirteen. There are references to pornography, 'squirting', and anal sex. In another short film, it is implied a man is masturbated by a prostitute.

Sexual violence

A woman in a documentary reports that her father drugged and raped her sisters.

Language

There is use of strong language ('f**k'), as well as other terms such as 'bitch' and 'wank'. In a drama, a dislikeable character calls a gay man 'faggot' and 'queer'.

Injury detail

In one short film it is implied a man shoots himself, with blood subsequently splattering onto a doorway.
