Language

There is infrequent use of very strong language (‘c**t’) as well as more frequent use of strong language (‘f**k’, ‘motherf**ker’). Milder terms include ‘prick’, 'bitch', ‘shit’, ‘bullshit’ and ‘ass’, as well as use of the rude ‘middle finger’ gesture.

Violence

Police are shown attacking protesters with tear gas and riot clubs, resulting in spurts of blood and occasional strong bloody aftermath images. There is brief use of grainy images of real dead bodies lying in pools of blood in the aftermath of off-screen violence.

Discrimination

There are scenes of racism, including one in which a black defendant is beaten and returned to the courtroom shackled and gagged. There are brief scenes of sexist behaviour, culminating in a scene of sexual assault. There is also infrequent use of discriminatory terms including ‘fairy’, ‘faggot’ and ‘fag’.

Sexual violence

Two men drag a screaming female protester to the ground and rip open her shirt to reveal her bra. Another man intervenes.

People are infrequently shown smoking joints, and there are occasional verbal references to drug misuse. There are infrequent moderate verbal sex references.
