Note: The following text may contain spoilers

THINGS WE LOST IN THE FIRE is a film about a bereaved woman coming to terms with her husband's death and the friendship she finds in his heroin-addicted best friend.

Language

There is frequent use of strong language (‘f**k’).

Drugs

There are some moderate references to drugs and detailed scenes of heroin preparation and use. However, these are followed by highly aversive scenes of drug withdrawal and the film as a whole does not glamorise or condone drug use.

There are also some scenes of moderate violence involving a shooting, but little injury or bloody detail is shown.
