Note: The following text may contain spoilers

TED 2 is a comedy sequel in which a living toy bear has to prove that he is a real person in order to save his marriage and become a parent.

There is frequent strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker').

In a comic context already established by the first film, there are strong and crude references to sexual intercourse, oral sex, masturbation, sex organs and pornography. There are also visual sex references involving jars of semen specimens during a comic scene set in a fertility clinic.

Characters are seen smoking from 'bongs' and acting in a disoriented manner or talking nonsense. There are also verbal references to marijuana and cocaine.

There are examples of discriminatory language - such as 'nigger', fag', 'homos' and 'spaz' - which occur in the comic bad taste context established by the first film, and which is continued in this sequel.

There are also moments of comic violence.
