SHOW ME THE PICTURE: THE STORY OF JIM MARSHALL is a documentary about the late American photographer who became famous for his photographs of rock and jazz musicians.

Language

There is strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker', ‘c**ksucking'); milder terms include 'asshole', 'shit', 'pissed' and 'Jesus Christ', ‘screw’ and ‘God’.

Drugs

There are references to drug misuse, including that of cocaine, acid and marijuana. The references are placed in the context of the well known drug use by famous musicians during the 1960s and 1970s, and contain some elements of glamorisation. However the damaging consequences of drug addiction are also highlighted, and the work as a whole does not condone drug misuse.

There are references to domestic violence including an account of a child suffering physical abuse from his father. There are also references to the film's subject's volatile, threatening behaviour using guns and knives.
