RISE is an Australian crime drama which follows a nurse who is sent to jail for rape.


A man grabs a woman by the throat and punches her face. There are brawls and fistfights, as well as a prison yard stabbing, with resultant bloody detail.


A young man is accused of spiking a woman's drink and raping her. He attempts to clear his name in court.


A bloodied prisoner is wheeled from his cell after having cut himself off-screen

There is infrequent use of strong language ('f**k'), as well as other terms such as 'bitch' and 'God'. Discriminatory language is used ('fag', 'poofter'). There are moderate drug references. Rear nudity is seen in cell block pin-ups.
