THE RIFLEMAN: THE DIRECTOR'S CUT is a Latvian historical drama in which a teenage farm boy enlists to fight in the First World War alongside his brother and aging father.

Violence

Battle sequences are intense and sustained, with bloody detail as soldiers are gunned down or impaled with bayonets.

Injury detail

There is sight of heavily bloodied faces and severed limbs in the aftermath of violence.

There is brief female nudity in photographs shared between the soldiers, as well as infrequent strong language ('f**k'). Milder terms include 'tits', 'bitches', 'whores', 'bastard', 'dickhead', 'ass' and 'shit'. A slideshow of apparently real photographs from WWI plays during the end credits, including what appears to be an image of a real dead soldier.
