PIONEER is a Norwegian drama, with English subtitles, in which a deep-sea diver tries to uncover the conspiracy that led to the death of his brother.

Strong language ('motherf**ker' and 'f**k') and milder bad language ('son of a bitch', 'shit', 'bullshit', 'balls', 'screwed', 'crap', 'hell', 'God').

There is some moderate violence, including a man being choked until unconscious, a man being thumped on the back of the head and falling into the sea, and a man being placed in a pressure chamber, where the pressure is increased in order to cause him pain. There is a moderate sex reference when a man apparently exposes himself to a female scientist, telling her "Inspect this!". There is sight of dead man with a needle in his arm, as well as negative references to his morphine addiction. The film also contains brief rear male nudity.
