PAWN SACRIFICE is a drama about American chess player Bobby Fischer and his rivalry with Russian chess champion Boris Spassky.

Language

There is a single use of strong language ('f**k'), as well as uses of mild bad language, including 'screw', 'shit', 'ass', 'God', 'damn' and 'hell'.

Sex

A man tells a woman that he would like to lose his virginity, before the couple are seen lying in a bed post-coitally with female back nudity visible. There are also references to 'screwing' and 'passing up sex' in order to study.

There is a brief suicide reference when a character refers to a former chess player who killed himself.

There are some racist remarks made about Jews when a character says "they got their dirty little fingers over everything", but these attitudes are clearly disapproved of by other characters.
