PAAN SINGH TOMAR is a Hindi action drama based on a true story about a successful army athlete who went on to became a notorious outlaw. The film was classified '12' for moderate violence and one partially obscured use of strong language.

The film includes several scenes of moderate violence. These include depictions of gunshot violence and injury, occasionally resulting in blood sprays and sight of bloody wounds. Approaching the climactic shoot-out in the film there is sight of a man being hit in the chest by gunfire and falling as a blood spray indicates his fatal injury. The protagonist is shot several times in the final scene, but these impacts are largely without blood effects. The BBFC's Guidelines on violence at '12A'/12' state 'Moderate violence is allowed but should not dwell on detail. There should be no emphasis on injuries or blood, but occasional gory moments may be permitted if justified by the context'. While the infrequent sequences of moderate violence in this film result in a few gory moments, these do not constitute an emphasis on the injuries or blood and the scenes fall within the allowance at '12A'/'12'.

The film also includes one use of strong language in the English subtitles which is partially obscured by use of asterisks. The original Hindi language does not contain an equivalent term. This partially obscured use of strong language is allowable at '12A'/'12' under the Guidelines which state 'The use of strong language (for example, 'fuck') must be infrequent'.

The film also contains mild language ('bastard', 'bloody', 'whore').
