THE OCCUPATION is a Polish drama in which a young Jewish girl seeks refuge on a farm during WWII.

Violence

A group of people are executed by firing squad, resulting in bloody detail.

Threat and horror

There are scenes of threat, in which Nazis and partisans raid a farm and the protagonist fears her identity will be discovered. In one scene, a group of prisoners are made to strip naked and march into a forest. Gunshots are then heard, implying they have been executed. In another sequence, the bodies of three people are seen hanging from a tree.

Sexual violence

A cruel man boasts about his encounter with a young Jewish girl, implying that he raped her. In another scene, a man gropes a woman.

Language

There is infrequent very strong language ('c**t') and use of strong language ('f**k').

There is infrequent strong sex, including brief thrusting detail. People also make anti-Semitic statements and show discriminatory behaviour, but such moments are clearly not condoned by the work. There are also scenes of rabbits being caught in traps, but no animals appear to have been harmed in the making of the film.
